From his posts on his Facebook page:
Martin Ammons is a conservative Republican who wants to strengthen the TN Republican Party and represent the interests of grassroots Republicans.
//
All Republican candidates should be supporting the Republican nominees in the general election! If elected, I hope to make this a requirement in order to be allowed on the ballot as a Republican.
//
If elected, Martin Ammons commits to pursue the following goals:
Use TNGOP leverage to encourage passage of party registration legislation
Require candidates to affirm the TNGOP's Guiding Principles
Apply candidate qualifications fairly for all
Improve outreach to young Republicans and improve TNGOP social media presence
Require candidates to affirm support for Republicans over non-Republican opponents
Keep the TNGOP CONSERVATIVE
From his campaign Facebook page:
Brian Hornback has been a resident of Tennessee Senate District 6 since 1973 and has been actively involved in Republican politics for more than four decades. His political involvement began in 1982 at the age of 16 when he volunteered for the campaign of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Robin Beard in his challenge against incumbent Senator James Sasser. Since that time, Brian has remained continuously active in Republican Party affairs at the local, county, state, and grassroots levels.
[...]
From 2005 to 2007, Brian served as Chairman of the Knox County Republican Party. During his term, the Tennessee Supreme Court upheld Knox County's voter-approved term limits. Brian had previously been involved in the grassroots effort that successfully placed term limits on the ballot and secured voter approval in the mid-1990s. Despite Republicans not yet holding a countywide supermajority during his chairmanship, the party maintained its strength and continued to grow under his leadership.
On August 14, 2021, the Tennessee Republican Party State Executive Committee selected Brian to fill a vacancy as District 6 Committeeman. He was chosen by the committee over the former Knox County Republican Party Chairman.
